Whistleblower

« Mere citizen or scientist working in the public or private field, the whistleblower finds themselves, at a certain point, facing a fact which could represent a danger for human beings or their environment, and then decides to bring this fact before civil society and public authorities for global knowledge. Unfortunately, by the time the fact is publicly recognized and taken into account, it’s often too late. The consequences for the whistleblower, who is acting on an individual basis since there is, in France, no plan for warning processes, can be quite serious : from being fired to being brushed under the carpet, they are directly exposed to the retaliations of a hierarchy which doesn’t support him, often because of financial of political interests." [1]
